A Moon made of Bells..
Moonglades stretch across the woodlands edge, past the knowing Oaks and the forest keepers. It seeps up and over and under and through garden gates; spilling into footpaths and turning them into winding rivers of light.
Parades of shadows march along these shining brooks, slowly turning and dancing for the midnight hour.
Strings of pearls gently sway - lantern poles strung with fairy bells, whose chimes ring out in the form of sweet perfume.
And in this washing of light, nothing is lacking. All is well.
A moon of lily bells, holding all the magic of this special bloom, holding the memories of yesterday and the happiness of tomorrow. Lily of the Valley is the flower of the promise of the return of happiness, of joy, of hope.
All of these Lily of the Valley pieces feature bell branches that have been cast from the real thing! Real Lily of the Valley flowers, hand gathered from my own field, have been immortalized in silver. This was challenging to do, but oh so worth it. These are the only LotV pieces I will make this year, until they bloom again next spring!
As immortal bloom to carry with you, tucked inside silver leaves which have been forged from silver sheet. A small white pearlscent moonstone captures both the color of the flower and of moonlight itself.
Handcrafted out of Sterling and Fine Silver (.925, .999) this piece measures approximately 45mm x 40" at widest points. It weighs approximately .75 ounces or 21 grams.
Strung on a 17" sterling silver chain as shown in the above pictures with a lobster clasp. This chain is somewhat adjustable, in that the clasp can be hooked anywhere from 15.5"-19" long.
