Dreamscapes..
As we transition out of blanketed tree tops, crackling fires and the nip of first frosts, the slumber and dark days of the seasons just left have been on my mind. Not quite into full fledged spring, this has led my thoughts in the direction of dreamscapes... Velvet colors, feathery horizons and billowing clouds.
This is one of my absolute favorite designs ever, made into a statement pendant.
Constellations and silver celestial bodies dance around three faceted morganite stones. A pale peachy-pink, the backs on these three are open to connect with the wearer and transform with their surroundings. Two crescent moons in the style of antique imagery rest on either side of a confetti filled peach moonstone moon. While cutting this piece of moonstone I left it with a softer finish, rather than one of sharp contrast, perfectly in tune with the intoxicating dreamscape nature of this collection. Filled with large shimmering flecks against a silky flash, its like a window of stars set against enchanted golden skies.
All stones are genuine and natural. Made entirely out of Fine Silver (.999), Sterling Silver (.925) and brass. This piece measures approximately 2.3" X 1.9" at longest and widest points. It has been given a dark grey patina and then finished with finished with a mix of satin finishes and highly polished details. Strung on a Sterling Silver 18" chain.
Normally I permanently close the hoops that connect the main piece to its chain, however in this piece I opted to not do so. This way you can swap the chain out for a shorter or longer one if you desire. That is not to say this piece will come off the hoops easily, as the silver used is of a thick, un-malleable gauge of hardened silver. If you ever choose to swap the chain out, it will be quite the task but keeps that option open to you.
