The Night Garden
The heart of the Night Garden collection.
This large chest piece drapes you in the very essence of The Night Garden. Large furling and curling ferns frame the moonlight as the companions of the night flutter about the leaves with detailed touches like an ivy covered garden gate below. A large moth rests upon the chain, as a snake winds about the stone. This stone is a piece of Ocean Jasper, and looks as though it were a large and full moon complete with her craters. It is one that has been with me for as long as I have been making jewelery. I held onto it for many, many years, just waiting for it's perfect home! This is it.
This is a very substantial piece, weighing in at approximately 3.5 ounces and measuring 4" across and 3" at tallest point. It is entirely handmade out of solid sterling silver and is permanently hung on a substantial chain. This chain measures 15", with a special easy to use clasp, and in combination with the design of the piece and a small extender chain added, brings the total "chain length" to 18-19".
It has been given a mixture of high polish and sating/brushed finished for maximum magikal feel. It is the statement piece of this collection.
